Children Inc. honors four with Imagining Tomorrow Awards for contributions to education, community


Four women who have made significant contributions to education in the NKy region were honored this week with the 2015 Imagining Tomorrow Awards by Children, Inc.

More than 150 individuals, including political figures and representatives of area organizations and foundations, gathered at Drees Pavilion for a luncheon and program to celebrate the community and partnerships that support Children, Inc.

2015 Imagining Tomorrow Awards were presented to the following community leaders for outstanding partnership in 2014:

Kathy Burkhardt, Erlanger-Elsmere Schools, for “Involving The Entire Community So That All Preschool Children Are Successful”

Leslie Maloney, The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation, for “Building A Region In Which All Students Learn To Give Back”

Polly Lusk Page, Northern Kentucky Education Council, for “Bringing Northern Kentucky Together So That All Students Succeed”

Jane Herms, Family Nurturing Center, for “Safeguarding Our Most Vulnerable Children”

Children, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Rick Hulefeld said, “We are truly fortunate as a region to have so many organizations working passionately to support children and families; the growing number of school districts getting involved in early childhood is also exciting, and allows for even more bigger and better things for our young children.”
