December programs at the Kenton County Public Library get residents into the holiday spirit

Don’t miss the free holiday programs at The Kenton County Public Library. There will be music, trains, Santa, Anna and Elsa from Frozen, holiday crafts, make and take gifts, truffle making and so much more.

The Kenton County Public Library Covington Branch is located at 502 Scott Boulevard in Covington.

Christmas Extravaganza and Photos with Santa – Durr Branch, 1992 Walton-Nicholson Road, Independence
Bring the family and celebrate the season with us. Get your photo taken with Santa, create a holiday picture frame and eat Christmas cookies while enjoying festive activities. Open to the whole family!

Christmas Memories with Doris and Rosemary – Erlanger Branch Library, 401 Kenton Lands Road

With holiday scenes, past memories of Cincinnati’s Christmas traditions and the vocal stylings of local professional singers, take a Christmas stroll with these two great ladies of entertainment.

Thursday, December 7, 6:30-7:30 pm
Create your own wrapping paper and cards for winter holiday gift-giving. We’ll supply the paper and various materials for decorating. School Age Children.

Holiday Puppet Show – Erlanger Branch Library, 401 Kenton Lands Road
Tuesday, December 12, 1:30 & 7 pm, Wednesday, December 13, 10:30 am.
Enjoy the antics of the puppets as they prepare for the holidays. Dance and sing with the puppets at the 1:30 show only. Learn about puppetry and writing your own acts. Treats after the show. Preschool and School Age Children.

Model Trains for the Holidays – Covington Library, 502 Scott Boulevard, Covington
Saturday, December 2, 10 am-4:30 pm & Sunday, December 3, 1-4 pm
Tri-State N-Trak fills the room with their model train display, specially designed scenery and model train layouts.

Holiday Concert with Cincinnati Harper’s Robin – Covington Library, 502 Scott Boulevard, Covington

Enjoy traditional mix of holiday music from the Celtic lands.

Diane, the Truffle Lady, will join the group for a fun food demonstration. Learn how to mix, roll and decorate truffles for the holidays. Adults only.

Create simple edible gifts to give for the holidays during our monthly teen cooking club. Teens only.

Check back every day this week to make a different holiday ornament to take home. School age children.

Storytime with Santa – Covington Library, 502 Scott Boulevard, Covington
Saturday, December 2, 2-3:30
Santa Claus will join us to read stories and visit with the children. There will be photo frame craft so you frame your holiday memory at home. Bring your own camera. Children ages 0-12.

Frozen Sing Along – Covington Library, 502 Scott Boulevard, Covington
Friday, December 22, 2-4 pm
“Let it Go” and sing along with Anna and Elsa while watching the movie on our big screen. Anna and Elsa will really be visiting the Library. Snacks provided, costumes encouraged. Preschool & school age.
