Supermarket tour offers free onsite shopping tips for managing diabetes; join in on May 22 at Meijer


The Northern Kentucky Health Department and Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition will host a free supermarket tour to educate people with diabetes, those at risk of diabetes and their loved ones about healthy shopping tips.
 
It will be in Florence, 
6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, at Meijer located at 4990 Houston Road.

The tour will be led by a certified diabetes educator and/or a registered dietitian.

Participants will stroll the supermarket while learning about label reading, carbohydrate counting while grocery shopping and pharmacy resources. They also will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with information and product samples.

Space is limited.

Registrants will meet in the café area of the store, located near the produce department.
