Horizon Community Funds launches ‘Community Impact Fund,’ $5 million to be raised by end of May

Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky is on a mission to bring people together and build a stronger community.

To that end, the organization has announced the launch of the Community Impact Fund. With a goal of $5 million raised by the end of May, this fund will address Northern Kentucky’s challenges and needs now and in the future.

“This is the first fund of its kind for our area, directly impacting the people, places and services that help make Northern Kentucky so special,” said Nancy Grayson, president of the Horizon Community Funds. “Our community is filled with generous, hard working people who want to give back and really make a difference. By combining our resources and giving together, we will be able to make a greater impact and build a stronger future for our community.”

The goal of the Community Impact Fund is to connect the community to the needs across the region and use collective giving as a way to break the cycle of poverty, support the arts, enhance education, and build a successful future for Northern Kentucky.

It is the most flexible type of giving fund and allows Horizon’s council of trustees to identify and support the community’s most critical needs. By contributing to this fund, donors can feel confident knowing their investment will help support Northern Kentucky’s challenges, including emergency situations and long-term needs, says Grayson.

“Needs will continue to evolve and change, but that is what makes giving to the Community Impact Fund so rewarding,” continued Grayson. “Your contributions will help Northern Kentucky residents and organizations when they need it the most. We all have the opportunity to get involved and help shape the future of the community we are proud to call home.”

From young professionals to lifelong Northern Kentucky residents, the Community Impact Fund provides an opportunity for people to join together and help neighbors throughout Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.

No gift is too small to build a more vibrant community now and in the future.
