St. E, OrthoCincy partner with Griffin Elite Sports and Wellness to offer sports medicine, physical therapy

St. Elizabeth Healthcare and OrthoCincy will lease approximately 4,800 square feet of space from Griffin Elite Sports and Wellness to open a sports medicine and physical therapy office at 700 Dolwick Drive in Erlanger.

Griffin Elite is a 52,000 square-foot sports and wellness training facility which specializes in individual and group performance training to improve strength and agility. Griffin Elite also focuses on injury prevention and sport specific conditioning.

Renovations have begun with the goal of providing patient care this month.

“This is wonderful news, and the result of ongoing discussions and planning since spring,” says Garren Colvin, St. Elizabeth President and CEO. “The facilities at Griffin Elite will add to the patient/athlete experience that is already being fostered by our athletic trainers, physical therapists and physicians at our current locations.”

“Our focus on injury prevention, injury recovery and sports performance makes this a great fit, says Greg Von Hoene at Griffin Elite. “This partnership is a great complement to the overall brand of Griffin Elite. It brings two community-minded organizations together that contribute in ways beyond healthcare and sports-related services.”

The services at Griffin Elite are available to all ages and all fitness levels, athlete or non-athlete. Once completed, there will be no other facility in Greater Cincinnati combining a 52,000 square foot facility and a partner with more than 8,500 associates providing end-to-end healthcare and sports performance services. In addition, OrthoCincy’s Dr. Timothy M. Burns will see patients in the facility.

According to Dr. Bruce Holladay of OrthoCincy, the Griffin Elite office represents an additional way OrthoCincy can serve sports medicine and orthopaedic patients of Greater Cincinnati at an elite level. “The highest performing athletes and community members require the best care on-site, and our partnership with Griffin Elite provides that. Griffin Elite patrons will have access to the resources of all of OrthoCincy, where they need it and when they need it.”

At the outset, current St. Elizabeth staff will rotate to provide services at the new Griffin Elite location. Additional staff may be added in the future as patient needs grow.

“This arrangement will be a great opportunity to grow our sports medicine specialty services in Kenton County to join our other convenient locations,” says Dominic Favia, Director of Ambulatory Centers at St. Elizabeth. “It also gives us the opportunity to explore additional specialty services for the future including a true bridge program for our patients.”
