American Cornhole Organization brings major to Owensboro, site of last year’s World Championship


American Cornhole Organization will bring the best players from across the country to Owensboro, back to the place of last year’s World Championships of Cornhole, for the ninth Major of ACO Season 13, January 19 and 20.

The Major will be played at the Owensboro Convention Center, located at 501 W 2nd St., Owensboro, KY 42301

ACO Majors are the focal point of the Season, where top players and social players alike compete to earn points toward their season rankings.

Majors aren’t only for the top players though, as many competitors from all different skill levels come and compete, and loyal fans cheer on their favorites. The good news for fans – all ACO events are free to spectators!

Registration for events ends Wednesday, January 17th Costs of entry varies based on which event a player wishes to participate in, and are as follows:

Worlds Slyder Cup – $125.00 per team ($150.00 walk ups)
Social Slyder Cup – $50.00 per team ($75.00 walk ups) No payout
Seniors Singles Points Ticket – $25.00 ($30.00 walk ups)
Seniors Singles Points & Purse Ticket $40.00 ($50.00 walk ups)
Womens Singles Points Ticket – $25.00 ($30.00 walk ups)
Womens Singles Points & Purse Ticket – $40.00 ($50.00 walk ups)
Juniors Singles – $15.00 per player
Coed Doubles – $20.00 per team ($30.00 walk ups)
Mini Doubles – $20.00 per team ($30.00 walk ups)

World Silver Ticket (Entry into World Singles and half of a World Doubles entry) – $45.00

Social Silver Ticket (Entry into Social Singles and half of a Social Doubles entry) – $25.00

Each event comes with certain spoils, and cash purses and ACO custom jerseys can be won in the ACO Indianapolis Major. Players do not have to be ACO members to participate in any events, or to claim prizes from winning events.

 The American Cornhole, LLC was established in 2005 and is headquartered in Milford, Ohio. American Cornhole Organization (ACO) is the governing body for the sport of cornhole, offering official cornhole rules, certified products, tournament listings, comprehensive information about cornhole events, and an ACO Certified Official Program that brings awareness of the sport.
