A monthly list of events at Campbell County Public Library branches is provided here.

The Campbell County Public Library operates three branches. The Cold Spring Branch is located at 3920 Alexandria Pike in Cold Spring, phone 859-781-6166. The Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch is located at 1000 Highland Ave. in Fort Thomas, phone 859-572-5033. The Newport Branch is located at 901 E. Sixth St. in Newport, phone 859-572-5035.

Homeschool STEAM Blast: Native American Peoples

Minecraft Club

Join author Luke Dittrich as he shares the fascinating and sometimes troubling true story of Henry Molaison, an amnesic who became the most studied human research subject ever. Patient H. M., as Henry came to be known, taught us much of what we know about how memory works. Mr. Dittrich’s talk will weave together family history – his grandfather was the neurosurgeon whose experimental brain surgery caused H.M.’s amnesia – with cutting edge neuroscience. Ages 18 & up. As an extra SPARK of kindness, please bring any leftover Halloween candy as we wil donate them to the Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops Program. This is a wonderful non-for-profit program that will ship your donated candy to deployed service members around the world or distribute to veterans in VA Hospitals across the country for a sweet treat.

Join our Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) All Souls Day celebration. Learn about this Latin American tradition. Little Naturalist is the perfect program for children who are curious about animals, their habitats, the environment, and exploring nature. We will read a specially selected nature-themed book, explore the natural world and complete a craft. Ages 3-5. Older siblings are welcome to attend. Registration required.

Harry Potter Bash
1-5:30 pm Monday, Nov. 20
This exciting event gives new and existing fans a chance to share the wonder of J.K. Rowling’s unforgettable stories and, most excitingly, to introduce the next generation of readers to the unparalleled magic of Harry Potter. Interactive movie (PG) starts at 3 pm. Ages 6-12. Registration required. The young witches and wizards who register to attend can expect an afternoon of magic. If you register your child before Nov. 11, they will receive a letter from Madame Amy (Griffindor) & Madame Nina (Hufflepuff) inviting them to Diagon Alley.

Back to the Future Trilogy Screening

Join the Children’s Department as we show all three Back to the Future films! Popcorn will be provided as well as a fun game of Back to the Future Bingo during each film. Get BINGO, win a prize. Sensory Science Story Time

Enjoy this monthly Sensory Science Story Time!
