Tristate Veterans Community Alliance to host ‘Troops and Treats’ event for military and public October 27

Tristate Veterans Community Alliance will host a “Trunk or Treat” community event for military and public on October 27 in Burlington.

The first Troops and Treats for Trunk and Treat event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kentucky National Guard Readiness Center in Burlington.

This free event is a way to provide a safe Halloween experience for all and to bring the military and civilian community together.

There will be contests for best trunk decoration and costumes.

In addition to Halloween goodies, there will be military, veteran and family resource tables for parents to grab information and brochures.

Kick It Up Mobile DJ Services will be on-hand to with music to get everyone into the Halloween spirit.

There will also be a Bounce House for the little ones to burn off some of that treat-fueled energy. Military vehicles will be on display so the community can see and learn about the Kentucky National Guard.
