The first-ever Flash Bash on Saturday at Bellevue — striking back against bad weather, coming detours

Bellevue is holding its first-ever Bellevue in a Flash bash on Saturday, after bad weather last week and an SD1 construction detour starting Monday.

Reason #1

Since the horrible weather last week for First Friday kept many away, they are doing a reboot of the Lucky Sevens promotion. For every $20 spent on The Avenue on Saturday, visitors earn $5 in Bellevue Bucks (gift certificates good at all Fairfield Avenue businesses) which can be redeemed any time through August 3. 25% back!  Combine receipts from multiple businesses to receive $5 at each $20 increment with a max cap of $50 per any one business.

Reason #2

Our “Endure the Detour” campaign.  For each purchase made at a Fairfield Avenue business (one per business, per day) from now through the end of the construction period, receive an entry to win one of two $250 Grand Prizes of Bellevue Bucks!

Two lucky people will receive $250 in Bucks for supporting the business district during the difficult time we’ll be experiencing over the next several weeks.  Make one purchase, receive one entry;  make a purchase at 5 businesses – that’s 5 entries. There’s no limit!

And if that’s not enough to make you change your Saturday plans, here’s more!:

• Shop, dine, get your Bucks, then head to the Thomas J. Wiethorn Memorial Beach Park for this hugely popular once-a-year evening:
◦ 4 to 7 p.m. – Classic Car Show
◦ 7 to 10 p.m. –  Concert in the Park: The Belairs Show Band
◦ 10 p.m. – Fireworks over the Ohio River

• Bella on the Avenue is open for one more day of their 50% off closing sale 10 am – 4 p.m.

• Visit Le Sorelle for 20% off your total purchase (excludes Swan Creek Candles & greeting cards) through July 31 before they move across the street

• Avenue Brew is open until 9 p.m .offering a Limited Edition “Hard Hat Menu” for dining in, takeout to the Beach Park festivities, and delivery to Darkness Brewing

• Visit RESN8 Gallery & Studio for their exhibit Dan Rissel, Portrait of an Artist

• Welcome our newest business, Roger That BBQ

• Visit Ball Embroidery for 20% off any red/white/blue items in the store on Saturday

It’s a Detour Free Weekend!

The SD1 construction detour won’t  begin until after morning rush hour on Monday, July 17.
