Kentucky Farm Bureau moves offices

After some 70 years in “downtown” Burlington, Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance is moving to a different facility about a half mile east, next to the R.C. Durr YMCA.

The Boone County Farm Bureau board of directors recently approved a measure allowing the Burlington Agency, managed by Mike Crane, to relocate its office to 2342 Burlington Pike in Burlington.

The phone (859)586-6142 and fax (859)586-6151 numbers will remain the same.

Andrew Davis named Goldwater Scholar

Andrew Davis of Williamstown has been named a Goldwater Scholar. a premier award for undergraduates pursuing careers in science, mathematics or engineering. A student at Western Kentucky University, he was one of only two students from Kentucky to receive a Goldwater scholarship this year.

Davis, the son of Amy and Todd Davis, is studying mathematics and physics and is a 2016 graduate of The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky. He plans to pursue a PhD in mathematics and conduct research in modeling using linear algebra, algebraic systems and topology, and teach at the university level.

Davis has conducted research with Dr. Bruce Kessler, professor of Mathematics and department head, since August 2014 and has published work with Dr. Kessler in The Mathematical Scientist.

Pettigrew named MSS VP

Kelli has experience starting, running and leading organizations from $5Mil in sales to $100Mil. Additionally, her strategic account and Fortune 500 expertise make her a great blend of entrepreneurial spirit and big company experience having held progressive leadership roles in global organizations up to $6B in sales.

Kelli holds 11 Presidents Club Awards, 4 Top Achievement Awards and a Consistent Achievement Award for Excellence. She has a Bachelors Degree and an MBA and previously served on the executive committee of the Cincinnati American Advertising Federation. She also serves on the board of directors for the Cell Therapy Foundation and is a volunteer for the People’s Burn Foundation in Indianapolis.
