CVG gets top awards — including Best Regional Airport in North America — at World Airport Awards

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) has secured top awards after being voted the World’s Best Airport Serving 5 – 10 Million Passengers and the Best Regional Airport in North America by air travelers in the World Airport Awards, held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Amsterdam, Netherlands today.
 
Among these top recognitions, CVG also ranked highest U.S. Airport among the World’s Top 100 Airports taking the No. 26 spot.

“We congratulate CVG on their continued success in winning this very important customer satisfaction award, the quality benchmark for the world airport industry,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax. “It demonstrates how CVG continues to improve standards of customer service to be recognized as the Best Regional Airport in North America, which covers a very competitive group of airports.”

All awards received by CVG include:
 
· No. 1 for Best World Airport Serving 5 – 10 Million Passengers Per Year
· No. 1 for Best Regional Airport in North America
· No. 26 for World’s Top 100 Airports (highest ranking U.S. Airport)
· No. 2 for Best Airport (Overall) in North America
· No. 2 for World’s Best Regional Airport
· No. 5 for Best Airport Staff in North America

The World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry, voted by customers in the largest, annual global airport customer satisfaction survey.

The Skytrax World Airport Survey is widely regarded as the quality benchmark for the world airport industry, assessing customer service and facilities across 550 airports. The survey and awards are independent of any airport control or input and are therefore an impartial benchmark of airport excellence and quality.
