Keeneland’s 59th Horses of All Ages Sale, catalogue has 1,892 individuals; solid market for broodmares

Keeneland has cataloged 1,892 horses for its 59th Horses of All Ages Sale which starts today and runs through the 13th.

The catalog includes 726 broodmares, 147 broodmare prospects, 732 yearlings, 280 horses of racing age and seven stallions and stallion prospects.

The interactive catalog is available online at Keeneland.com.

“The January Sale traditionally is a solid market for broodmares, broodmare prospects and short yearlings, which we expect will be popular because not all buyers filled their orders when weanlings were offered at the November Breeding Stock Sale,” Keeneland Vice President of Racing and Sales Bob Elliston said. “The January Sale also affords breeders the opportunity to replenish or upgrade their broodmare bands with many quality mares in foal to top stallions and numerous young broodmare prospects from which to choose.”
