The book College Entrance Game Plan is a comprehensive guide to collecting, organizing and funding college.

One may ask “Isn’t middle school a little early to start thinking about college?” “The sixth grade is the perfect time to start a student’s interest and passion inventories and to begin the career exploration process” says Bisig. “There are even college scholarships available for students all the way down to the elementary school level.”

The process of picking a major or career, dealing with the admissions process and paying for college can be stressful and intimidating.

The College Entrance Game Plan guides families with monthly timelines for each year from the 7th grade clear through the 12th grade. Bisig reassures that if a family has not started the process as early as 7th grade, the timelines just need to be adjusted from monthly intervals down to weekly or even daily tasks.

Regardless of income, assets or student accomplishments, there is a right fit college for every student. “Families work hard to maximize their budgets and create a future for their children,” Bisig said. “The problem is that the cost of college education keeps rising.”

In 2006, he formed College and Beyond after a client came to him with a major problem. They had two daughters and a son attending private schools and were ready to send their first daughter off to college, but mom and dad had only saved $5,000. Bisig was able to help them put together and integrated funding plan that worked for all three children.

His first word of advice for parents and students? “Do not procrastinate.”

By using the timelines and guidance in the College Entrance Game Plan, Bisig says families will be able to check off one step at a time and not be so overwhelmed with the whole college planning process.

The College Entrance Game Plan is available for order on Amazon or the College and Beyond, LLC website . It is also available in a binder format so that a family can keep all of the important papers and information they receive in one place.
