Thomas More College women’s basketball first home game on Saturday — wear white and get in free

Grab the white clothing from your closet and come out to support TMC’s Women’s Basketball Team at their first home game of the season!

TMC is hosting a “white-out” as the Saints take on Wittenburg University at 4 p.m. at the Connor Convocation Center.

Anyone wearing all-white will get in free.

The 2016 defending Division III National Champions, who are coming off last year’s undefeated season, are heading into Saturday afternoon’s contest with a 35-game winning streak as they’ve opened this season 2-0.

Thomas More currently has a 49-game home winning streak as its last loss in the Connor Convocation Center was in November of 2012.

The Saints are ranked No. 4 in the nation.

So far this season they’ve earned a 69-36 win over in-state rival Centre College and a 71-42 win over No. 14 Maryville (Tenn.) College.  Thomas More has a +31.0 scoring margin as it averages 70.0 points per game and give up only 39.0 points per game and are shooting 44.8 percent from the field as it has connected on 56-of-125 shots from the floor.

Three Saints are averaging double-figure scoring as junior forward Nikki Kiernan (Cold Springs, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) averages 18.0, junior guard Abby Owings (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) averages 16.5 and sophomore guard Madison Temple (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) averages 14.5

Turn Connor into a sea of white in support of the Saints as they take their first steps of the season on their home court in pursuit of the 2017 DIII National Championship.
