“This is a great opportunity for business professionals and community members to learn about this key economic initiative,” said Scott Sedmak, Vice President of Public Affairs & Communications at the NKY Chamber. “Red Tape Reduction is another step in a continuing process to make Kentucky a friendlier place to do business, create jobs, and build a better quality of life.”

Governor Matt Bevin and his administration have been working on an effort to address burdensome state regulations that have created a number of unnecessary obstacles for Kentucky businesses, employees, and customers.

The NKY Chamber is encouraging businesses to identify which barriers exist within Kentucky state regulations that may be burdensome to commerce and could be fixed, updated, or modernized.  This Government Forum will serve as an update on the Red Tape Reduction plan as well as a chance for community members to learn more about the initiative.

For more information on this topic, please visit RedTapeReduction.com. Within the website, a public form is available for use to report a regulation that they find to be an example of red tape.

The cost to attend the event is $30 for NKY Chamber members and $60 for future Chamber members. Reservations can be made by calling 859.578.8800 or online at http://web.nkychamber.com/events.
