MeetNKY’s Renee LaLanne-Wuerdeman to receive Women’s Initiative Spirit of Achievement Award


Renee LaLanne-Wuerdeman, Director of Convention Services at meetNKY, is the recipient of the 3rd Annual Spirit of Achievement award that will be presented at the 7th Annual Women’s Initiative Breakfast on January 27.

More than 700 men and women are expected to attend the breakfast.

The award, sponsored by BB&T, honors women involved in the Women’s Initiative program who have demonstrated professional leadership and community involvement. The Women’s Initiative, started in 2008, offers opportunities for women of all career stages to connect, grow and achieve for business and professional success. Through events, mentoring and peer support, women are encouraged to connect with each other and tap into each other’s strengths.

Ms. Wuerdeman has been involved with the Women’s Initiative for several years as a member of the CONNECT committee. Chair of the On the Road program and chair of the CONNECT committee.

She has also been involved in community groups including Greater Cincinnati Welcomers, COV 200 and the Certified Tourism Ambassador program.

She is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky.
The recipient of the first Spirit of Achievement award was Wonda Winkler, Vice President of Brighton Center.

Last year’s recipient was Linda Schilling, General Manager of Valley View Temporary Furnished Housing.

This 7th Annual Breakfast will be held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center on January 27 from 7 to 9:30 a.m.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Tasha Eurich. Dr. Eurich is an internationally recognized leadership expert, speaker, and New York Times best-selling author of Bankable Leadership. Her life’s work is to make leaders AWESOME, and over the last 15 years, she’s helped thousands transform. With a PhD in Organizational Psychology, she began her career in academia and consulting, and then moved to the Fortune 500 world. In 2011, Tasha founded The Eurich Group, a boutique executive development firm that companies—from start-ups to the Fortune 100—succeed by improving the effectiveness of their leaders and teams.
