Governor Beshear’s appointments to boards and commissions include one from Northern Kentucky


Governor Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

To the Greenup County Covered Wooden Bridge Authority, to serve for terms expiring April 12, 2016:

· James A. Belt, of Argillite, is solid waste coordinator and code enforcement officer for Greenup County Fiscal Court. He replaces Loella B. Taylor, whose term has expired.

· William Bennett Secrest, of South Shore, is a retired airline captain. He replaces George S. Easterling, whose term has expired.

To the Greenup County Covered Wooden Bridge Authority, to serve for terms expiring April 12, 2018:

· Frances Marlette Roberts, of South Shore, is a retired educator.

· Greenup County Judge-Executive Robert W. Carpenter, of Worthington.

To the Endow Kentucky Commission to serve for a term expiring Sept. 30, 2017.

· Donna G. Diaz, of Jamestown, is executive director, Lake Cumberland Area Development District. She represents the Lake Area Foundation.

To the Child Care Advisory Council, to serve for terms expiring June 24, 2018:

· Twylynn Gail Edwards, of Leitchfield, is an early childhood manager for Breckinridge-Grayson Programs. She represents child care center providers.

· Randi Janesn, of Florence, is director of The Goddard School. She represents child care center providers.

· Lynn “Boogie” Morris, of Hopkinsville, works in child care for Let’s Go Play Academy. She represents child care center providers.

· Erica L. Tipton, of Mount Sterling, is executive director, Child Development Center of the Bluegrass. She represents child care center providers.

· Patricia A. Porter, of Radcliff, is a self-employed certified childcare provider. She represents family child care home providers.

· Linda J. Avery, of Hopkinsville, is a family childcare provider and preschool teacher. She represents family child care home providers.

· April M. Glover, of Somerset, is a learning consultant at Somerset Community College, Laurel Campus. She represents parents and/or guardians receiving services in licensed centers or certified homes.

· Carol Moore, of Nancy, is a systems representative for Modern Systems. She represents parents and/or guardians receiving services in licensed centers or certified homes.

· Erica D. Vaught, of Science Hill, is a softlines merchandiser with Kmart. She represents parents and/or guardians receiving services in licensed centers or certified homes.

· Adrienne Bush, of Hazard, is executive director, Hazard Perry County Community Ministries. She represents the private sector who are knowledgeable about education, health and development of children.

· Amy S. Hood, of Morgantown, is a trainer at Western Kentucky University. She represents the private sector who are knowledgeable about education, health and development of children.

· Janet Masterson, of Louisville, is executive director, Community Coordinated Child Care, 4-C. She represents the private sector who are knowledgeable about education, health and development of children.

To the Washington County Covered Wooden Bridge Authority:

· Tommy Hamilton, of Springfield, is a business owner. He replaces Mary Jo Maguire, whose term has expired. Hamilton shall serve for a term expiring March 31, 2017.

· Hamilton B. Simms, of Springfield, is an attorney. He represents citizens at large. He replaces Richard Hamilton, whose term has expired. Simms shall serve for a term expiring April 12, 2018.

To the Washington County Covered Wooden Bridge Authority:

· Terry Lynn Tingle, of Springfield, is a farmer. He shall serve for a term expiring April 12, 2018.

To the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Professional Art Therapists.

· Stewart Galbraith Bridgman Jr., of Louisville, is director of program operations at Bridgehaven Inc. He shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2019.

Gov. Beshear has appointed TammyLou Wright as a member of the Kentucky Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision, to serve for a term expiring Sept. 6, 2019.

· TammyLou Wright, of Versailles, is a victim advocate with the Department of Corrections, Victim Services. She represents members at large. She replaces George B. Bertram, whose term has expired.

To the Kentucky Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision, to serve for terms expiring Sept. 6, 2019:

· Fayette Circuit Judge Kimberly Nell Bunnell, of Lexington, represents the Judicial Branch.

· Rhonda Henry, of Lexington, represents members at large.

To the Institute for Aging, to serve for terms expiring Sept. 1, 2019:

· Graham Rowles, of Georgetown, is a professor at the University of Kentucky.

· Harold R. Laswell, of Nicholasville, is a retired professor.

· Gale Reece, of Lexington, is a business owner.

To the Veterans’ Program Trust Fund Board of Directors, to serve for a term expiring July 15, 2017.

· Larry C. Roberts, of Banner, is a disabled veteran. He represents the Governor’s Advisory Board for Veterans’ Affairs. He replaces Micki King, whose term has expired.

To the Hemophilia Advisory Committee, to serve for terms expiring Nov. 30, 2019:

· Salvatore J. Bertolone, of Louisville, is a physician at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and represents the Kentucky Medical Association.

· Tracey C. Gaslin, of Fisherville, represents health care providers.

To the Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy Board.

· Timothy Cesario, of London, is director of substance abuse services at Cumberland River Behavioral Health. He replaces Angela Adams Hall, who resigned. Cesario shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Sept. 20, 2016.

To the Native-American Heritage Commission:

· Susan Mullins, of Berea, is an artist jeweler, Jewel Box Native Jewelry, and represents the arts community. She replaces Sarah Elizabeth Burkey, whose term has expired. Mullins shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2019.

· Deanna Alleen Jessie, of Olive Hill, is a health care community consultant for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. She represents the public at large. She replaces Susan Mullins, who resigned. Jessie shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Sept. 1, 2017.

To the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services, to serve for terms expiring Sept. 19, 2019:

· Prestonsburg Mayor Lloyd Leslie Stapleton, represents mayors. He replaces Eddie Glenn Long, whose term has expired.

· Aaron LaVaughn Stamper, of Stanford, is executive director, Jessamine County EMS. He represents basic life support ambulance service administrators. He replaces James Carroll Locke, whose term has expired.

· James Carroll Locke, of Boaz, represents citizens at large. He replaces Wenda Owen, whose term has expired.

To the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services, to serve for a term expiring Sept. 19, 2019.

· Dr. Walter C. Lubbers, of Lexington, is an emergency physician at the University of Kentucky and represents physicians with a primary practice in the delivery of emergency medical care.
