Newport Boys and Girls Club gets donation from AT&T for furniture for new teen lounge

The new teen lounge at the Newport Boys & Girls Club will get some new furniture, thanks to a gift from AT&T Kentucky.

Rep. Dennis Keene joined club Executive Director and board chair Frank Warnock Thursday to accept the AT&T gift from Brad McLean.

The club, known as the Buenger Boys and Girls Club, has over 350 members and has a goal that each member will graduate from high school, stay fit for life and be ready to serve the community.

It provides a place for homework, physical activity and healthy food.

Riehl has been director of the club for more than 16 years and has been with the Boys and Girls Clubs for more than 32 years.
