Continuing its commitment to Northern Kentucky while promoting healthy and active lifestyles, The Christ Hospital Health Network has donated exercise equipment for a Wellness Room developed in the new city building Fort Mitchell is dedicating this week.

The Christ Hospital, which is planning a medical building as part of a mixed used development at the former landmark Drawbridge Inn site in Fort Mitchell, donated $17,000 of exercise equipment for use by city employees including emergency first responders.

Christ hosp“The City of Fort Mitchell is very grateful to The Christ Hospital for providing new equipment for our Wellness Room for city employees,” said Mayor Jude Hehman. “There is nothing more important than health, and the new equipment will help build healthier lifestyles for our first responders and employees. We look forward to watching the progress of our staff and thank the administrators of The Christ Hospital for their generosity.”

The Christ Hospital is honored to be a member of the community as its moves forward with its mission of expanding healthcare services, consumer choice and convenience in Northern Kentucky, said Vic DiPilla, Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer for The Christ Hospital.

“One of our major goals is improving patient access by taking healthcare directly to where people live and work,” DiPilla said. “What better way to achieve that goal than helping establish the Wellness Room at the new Fort Mitchell City Building. Employees including police, fire and EMS first responders can exercise, workout and improve their health without ever leaving the city building. It is especially to support first responders in Fort Mitchell and all communities. At The Christ Hospital, we see every day the important role first responders play in taking care of our loved ones and keeping our communities safe.

“Fort Mitchell is a wonderful place to live and work,” DiPilla said. “We are proud to partner with Mayor Hehman and the City of Fort Mitchell and look forward to continued collaboration in the future.”

The Fort Mitchell City Building is scheduled to be formally dedicated Saturday, Sept. 19.
