Behringer-Crawford presents The Heaters on August 2, sounds of blues, boogie woogie and New Orleans

The Heaters, a four-piece group featuring young pianist and vocalist Ben Levin, will turn up the heat at Behringer-Crawford Museum on August 2 with the sounds of Chicago blues, boogie woogie and New Orleans.

Formed in 2000 by his father, guitarist Aron Levin, The Heaters were joined by son Ben at age 11. Performing with the father-son duo at BCM will be Chris Douglas on upright bass and Ricky Nye on drums.

Now 18, Ben has made a name for himself, performing at the Cincinnati Blues Festival, Chicago Blues Fest, Ricky Nye’s Blues & Boogie Piano Summit, Chase Garret’s annual Piano Stomp and the annual Festival de Boogie Woogie in LaRoquebrou, France, among other many other venues.

Ben won second place in the solo/duo category of the Cincinnati Blues Challenge with his own group, the Ben Levin Duo, and first place at the Dayton Blues Challenge. This year, he is nominated for two Blues Blast music awards, the Sean Costello Rising Star award and New Artist Debut Album for his 2017 album, “Ben’s Blues.”
