Northern Kentucky University recruit Trevon Faulkner enjoyed a productive weekend as a member of the Kentucky All-Stars that battled Indiana in the annual basketball series.

Faulkner scored 10 points Friday night as Kentucky posted a 100-89 victory against Indiana in the first game of the series. On Saturday night, Faulkner collected a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds during a 109-81 loss to Indiana. He also dished out a game-high six assists on Saturday.

Faulkner, Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball this past season, is expected to challenge for significant playing time at NKU in 2018-19. The Mercer County graduate averaged 26.5 points and 9.2 rebounds as a senior. He also scored more than 3,000 points in his career at Mercer County.

Faulkner figures to be capable of playing either guard position at NKU, which must replace standout Lavone Holland II in the backcourt. The Norse posted a 22-10 record in 2017-18 and captured the Horizon League regular-season title.

NKU is a combined 46-21 (.687) the past two seasons and is the winningest program in the Horizon League with a 30-10 (.750) mark against league opponents.
