Interstate 471 ramp and lane closures scheduled for travel into Northern Kentucky this week

Bridge work requires the following various nightly ramp closures on Interstate 471:

*Close the ramp from south I-71 to south I-471 and the Reading Road/Liberty Street ramps to south I-471 from 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 until 5 a.m. Thursday, June 21. The ramps from Fifth Street and U.S. 50 to south I-471 will also be closed during this time.

*Various lane closures on Eggleston Avenue and Culvert Street from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday. Traffic will be maintained.

The ramp closures will impact traffic entry to the Daniel Carter Beard (Big Mac) Bridge, into Newport.

Arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
