Kentucky defensive back Marcus Walker was dismissed from the team Tuesday, a week after he was arrested on drug charges.

Walker faces charges of buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, trafficking less than five pounds of marijuana, and trafficking a controlled substance (less than equal to four grams of cocaine). Walker is scheduled to have a hearing at Fayette District Court after being released last Friday on a $1,000 surety bond.

Walker played in 12 games while playing on special teams last season and collected just five tackles as a sophomore last year. Walker was considered a 3-star player out of Florida (Lake Wales) and one of the top recruits in the Sunshine State as a senior.

Overall, Walker played in 21 games at Kentucky and made 17 tackles, the school said in a release on Tuesday.
