Join the foot-stomping when Music@BCM returns on June 7 with the Comet Bluegrass All-Stars

Celebrating more than two decades of musical entertainment, the Comet Bluegrass All-Stars returns to BCM on June 7 for another foot-stomping evening at Music@BCM.

The All-Stars formed in 1996, becoming the house band at the Northside neighborhood bar, The Comet. Playing a wide variety of bluegrass and country genres, the group began performing around the region, opening for national acts such as Del McCoury, Ricky Skaggs, and Sam Bush. The versatile band, whose members all sing as well as play, includes Ed Cunningham on fiddle, Jeff Roberts on banjo, John Cole and Brad Meinerding on guitar, Artie Werner on bass and Missy Werner on mandolin.

Weather permitting, concerts are held in BCM’s outdoor amphitheater at 1600 Montague Road-Devou Park, Covington, KY 41011. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for seating. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12. Museum members pay for one admission and get the second one free. Adult beverages are available for purchase. Concert-goers can also purchase food by Colonial Cottage of Erlanger, KY, supporting local community organizations. Parking is free.

The series continues on June 14 with the Nasty Nati Brass Band and will take place each Thursday through August 10, with the exception of July 5.

Music@BCM is sponsored by Ashley Development, Colonial Cottage, Ruth Faragher & Family, Ersatz & Moot Point Railway Company and the Alumni of WNOP Jazz, Hummel Hatfield Insurance Agency, George & Margaret McLane Foundation, Reality Tuesday Café, KW Mechanical and the Rich & Lisa Boehne Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
