The Point/Arc, located in Covington, provides opportunities to people with intellectual, developmental and complex disabilities reach their highest potential educationally, residentially, socially and vocationally. The Point/Arc began in 1972 as a parent group with no budget, growing today to a holistic agency with a wide range of around the clock programs for children to adults with varying disabilities.

“We are honored that The Covington Rotary Club is supporting the mission of The Point/Arc. National statistics share that 3 percent of our population has an intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD). You currently may not know someone, but chances are in your lifetime you’ll become acquainted with families who will need our Point services,” said Judi Gerding, Founder and President of The Point/Arc.

“I have the opportunity too few agency executives have and that is to position a thriving non-profit to reach our ultimate goal of never having to turn anyone away who could need our services. The support of The Covington Rotary Club, through both recognition and The Biggest Charity Auction, will allow us to continue to fill in the services gaps for individuals with I/DD in our community and help them to reach their fullest potential.”

The Covington Rotary is a group of professional men and women who work as volunteers to improve the quality of life in their home and world communities.
