New Spring Fest event planned for Bellevue’s Historic Fairfield Avenue Shopping District in May

Spring Fest IN VUE is coming to Bellevue, for the first time, and bringing lots of food, fun, artists, sales and music with it. A new event, Spring Fest IN VUE takes place 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, in the 200 to 500 block of the Historic Fairfield Avenue Shopping District.

Bellevue is a historic river town whose main thoroughfare, the Historic Fairfield Avenue Shopping District, is lined with locally-owned shops, including upscale clothing consignment boutiques, an artist cooperative, art galleries, boutiques and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. A number of locally-owned restaurants are also located there, including several award-winning eateries.

Fairfield Avenue restaurants will host a Taste of Bellevue booth in the parking lot on Taylor Avenue, along with food vendors, including Dada’s smoked meats and sides, Felix Coffee Shop, Uncle Adam’s Fudge, Whole ‘Lot Sweeter and the Pop Shop Popcorn. Darkness Brewing will be on tap with its beer selections. Relax with your food and beverage at tables and chairs set up in the parking lot while enjoying music provided by local business, Torn Light Records.

Stroll the retail shops and art galleries along Fairfield Avenue where a sidewalk sale will take place. The Avenue will be decorated with potted floras and flower spinners and lampposts trimmed with hanging spinners.

Artisan booths will offer everything from essential oils, plants, pots and plant hangers and clothing and jewelry to glasswork and paintings, wood and metal signs and fiber art and yarn to bird feeders, soaps, bath bombs and lotions and wreaths, journals and antiques. Booths will line Taylor Avenue and spill over to Fairfield Avenue.

Enjoy restaurant specialties and other goodies, browse the shops and artisan booths for treasures and bargains and shop for Mother’s Day and graduation gifts during Bellevue’s first-ever Spring Fest IN VUE. Festival admission is free.
