Waypoint Aviation Lands at Lunken Airport; new corporate jet hangar has ribbon-cutting Thursday

Waypoint Aviation, a new 40,0000 square foot corporate jet hangar and Fixed Based Operation (FBO) at Lunken Municipal Airport, celebrate its official debut this week.

The privately owned FBO opened for business in January.

The newly constructed facility is a one-of-a-kind design and is the first ever FEMA compliant facility to be constructed at Lunken Airport. Additionally, the hangar can accommodate a variety of aircraft including but not limited to the new Gulfstream 650 and Bombardier Global 7000.

The FBO features three acres of ramp space that nearly any aircraft can easily taxi to. Waypoint is also the first and only FBO at Lunken to offer a self-serve Avgas pump to the growing aviation community.

The full service FBO is open to serve 24/7 with state-of-the-art security to ensure customer safety and privacy. There is direct access to the terminal from the ramp offering an efficient arrival or departure. These features along with the close proximity to downtown Cincinnati make Waypoint Aviation an ideal arrival for dignitaries, politicians, CEO’s, and VIP’s.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to announce the grand opening of our new FBO. This event marks the beginning of a new chapter for the aviation community at Lunken Airport,” said Mark Davis, Waypoint Aviation CEO.

Waypoint Aviation was built to provide all the services that passengers, crew, and aircrafts would need under one roof. The facility boasts a beautiful lobby, a huge kitchen area with complimentary Starbucks coffee and Graeters ice cream, a pilot planning room, new model crew cars, a quiet and private upstairs pilot lounge, a shower area, 1500 square feet of covered VIP parking, and a fully certified 145 FAA repair station.
