Selections for Saturday, March 31

RACE 1
TAKIN THE SLOROAD was overmatched last out but drops back into an easier spot tonight. He rates the slight edge with Lebrom picking up the mount. BENEDICTION comes off of a couple of sub par efforts but could be tough if he breaks well in this one. THE GORILLA MAN just raced last Saturday but is a threat in a well matched race.

RACE 2
PURELY BOY is the first of seven runners owned by the Ramseys and trained by Mike Maker entered on the closing night card. This one takes the big class drop but looks like a winner at short odds. GOLD CHASER comes off of a nice win at this level and is the one to beat. RIGHTEOUS RIDE has the speed to be a contender.

RACE 3
SENZA TE was very impressive beating the boys in her three-year-old debut for Wesley Ward. She was wrapped up in the late stages of that one and appears capable of the repeat win with Garcia back aboard. LOVE THY KITTEN and CRAVE form a strong entry for Ramsey/Maker. CRAVE has the speed to be on or near the lead and LOVE THY KITTEN can rally from just off the pace. RED DANE makes her four-year-old debut for Charlie Lopresti after breaking her maiden at Churchill in November. She is a definite threat in a tough allowance race.

RACE 4
J DUB has been second in five of his last seven races. He has the speed to make the lead and can go wire to wire tonight. LATIMER drops in for a tag and is the one to beat at this level. BELFAST COWBOY is training well for his debut.

RACE 5
ROSKI drops back to the bottom and appears to be in a good spot to pick up the win with Franklin back aboard for Bert Crawford. BARRISTER JIM is on a two-race win streak and has the speed to be on or near the lead. He is the one to catch. MACANAO fits with these.

RACE 6: THE ANIMAL KINGDOM STAKES
HEMP HEMP HURRAY is another classy runner from the Ward barn. He just missed in a G2 at Woodbine before a troubled trip in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf. He broke poorly in his three-year-old debut but figures to move forward off of that start and looks best in the Animal Kingdom. JAMAICAN DON is a speedy Maryland-bred who has been first or second in five of his six races. He looked good winning last out and is the one to catch. THE QUEENS JULES is also trained by Ward and comes in off of a nice maiden win.

RACE 7
ALERT KITTEN drops back in for a tag for the Ramseys and appears to be in a good spot to win this one for Mike Maker with McKee picking up the mount. LORAN HOLIDAY will be running late in a race that should have a lively pace. She needed her last race and figures to improve tonight. GET FOXY is a contender.

RACE 8
MAKEAMERICAGREAT and AMERICAN SEA are both trained by Charlie Lopresti but run uncoupled. They finished a half length apart in their last race at Churchill and have been training together at Keeneland. Give the edge to MAKEAMEIRCAGREAT, who figures to be on or near the lead throughout. JAILHOUSE KITTEN and BOYHOOD DREAM form another dangerous Ramsey/Maker entry.

RACE 9
Why not end the meet with the Ramsey/Maker TOMAHAWK KITTEN? He drops in against a fairly weak field of bottom maidens and should win at short odds. SAGE MASTER woke up last out and can run well at decent odds. PRIMED FOR TALENT fits in here.
