Northern Kentucky International Trade Association and DHL to host Exporting 101 Class

Exporting is a crucial facet of many Northern Kentucky businesses, which is why the Northern Kentucky International Trade Association (NKITA) and DHL will host Exporting 101 on Tuesday, March 6 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The class, which will take place at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (300 Buttermilk Pike Suite 330, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017), will cover basic information businesses need to know to export products out of the country.

“The United States produces high-quality goods and services with worldwide demand, and Greater Cincinnati was the 13th largest exporter in 2015,” said Debby Shipp, Vice President International Affairs & Business Growth at the NKY Chamber. “Northern Kentucky businesses can expand their markets and diversify their revenue streams by exporting.”

The Exporting 101 class will be presented by Alan Majchrzak, DHL’s Director of Import Compliance and 20 year veteran of DHL Express. Majchrzak is a licensed Customhouse Broker with more than 35 years of experience in import brokerage.

While at DHL, he has held various positions including Gateway Import Manager at the CVG hub, Director of U.S. Import Compliance, and was involved in U.S. development and implementation of DHL’s proprietary export/import application.

The Northern Kentucky International Trade Association is an association within the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce that helps members achieve international trade goals and objectives through connections with global business resources and high-impact technical programming in the Northern Kentucky region.

Registration for Exporting 101 is $15 for members of NKITA, $20 for Northern Kentucky Chamber members, and $35 for future members. Registration is available online at www.nkychamber.com/events.
