Northern Kentucky Chamber Hosts Pints & Perspectives: The Arts & Business, at The Carnegie

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will host Pints & Perspectives: The Arts & Business on Thursday, March 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The community is invited to hear from a panel of experts deeply involved in the arts in Northern Kentucky at The Carnegie (1028 Scott Street, Covington, KY 41011).

Attendees will learn about the vibrant local arts scene in the region and how it supports and enriches the business community. The discussion will be led by Kim Best, executive director of The Carnegie, Alecia Kintner, president and CEO of ArtsWave, and Rhonda Whitaker, director of Government & Community Relations for Duke Energy, Northern Kentucky chair for the ArtsWave campaign, and NKY Chamber board chair.

“A big part of attracting new businesses to the region and retaining top talent comes down to quality of life and entertainment options, and the arts are a huge factor in that,” said NKY Chamber President & CEO Brent Cooper. “We’re lucky to have a vibrant arts community in Northern Kentucky led by organizations such as The Carnegie and ArtsWave.”

As part of the program, the Chamber will also recognize five of the Emerging 30 designees. To qualify for this recognition, companies must have achieved at least $250,000 in revenue and an average annual growth of 15% or more over the past three years. Companies being featured in March include Greater Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning Inc., Nexigen, Scooter Media, Sitetology, LLC, and Wieda’s Marine, LLC.

Pints & Perspectives is the newest networking event from the NKY Chamber. Hosted six times per year, Pints & Perspectives gives attendees the opportunity to network and discuss regional issues. Previous topics have included the region’s booming bourbon industry and the economic impact of college sports on the economy.

Registration for Pints & Perspectives is $25 for Chamber members, $35 for future members. Pre-registration is required and is available online at nkychamber.com/events.

The Title Sponsor for Pints & Perspectives is Kerry Nissan, and Emerging 30 is sponsored by Forcht Bank. The March Venue Sponsor is The Carnegie. This event is being held in partnership with The Metropolitan Club.
