Chamber’s next Eggs ‘N Issues ‘Embracing Automation’ will feature HAHN, Perfetti Van Melle


On Tuesday, April 17, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will host Eggs ‘N Issues: NKY is Embracing Automation.

The event will feature a panel of experts discussing how automation is changing the way local companies operate and impacting workforce needs.

“Automation is a significant force impacting businesses in the Northern Kentucky region,” said Brent Cooper, President and CEO of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an important topic to discuss, so I am excited to welcome two experienced professionals as our panelists.”

Panelists include John Baines, President of HAHN Automation North America and James Biro, Vice President of Supply Chain, at Perfetti Van Melle.

HAHN Automation is a full-service special machinery manufacturing company that specializes in the automation of assembly and testing processes located in Hebron. Baines joined the company in 2004, and the company has grown more than 200 percent since then.

Perfetti Van Melle is a global manufacturer and distributer of confectionery and chewing gum located in Erlanger. Biro joined the company in 2016 from the Kellogg Company. He has a degree in chemical engineering from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and an MBA from the Eli Broad School at Michigan State University.

Eggs ‘N Issues will take place at Receptions Banquet and Conference Center – South (1379 Donaldson Road, Erlanger). The event will begin with check-in, breakfast, and networking from 7:30-7:55 a.m., with the program running from 7:55-9 a.m..
