Allen announced his future plans on his Twitter account Monday and said returning for one more season will increase his chances of playing at the next level.

“Excited to get Josh Allen back for his senior season – great teams are built on senior leaders and playmakers,” he said.

Allen was fourth on team in tackles during his junior campaign with 65, including 9.5 for a loss and seven sacks. His tackles for a loss and sacks were first on the team. During his career, Allen has played in 40 games, collected 189 tackles, with 29 for a loss and 21.5 sacks.

“We have a plan, not only to win the (SEC) East, but win the SEC,” Allen tweeted. “Let’s finish what we started.”
