People in the News: McMullen joins Talbert House, McNay honored by APCO, Thaper appointed to state post


Talbert House has named Michelle McMullen to its team as Director of Development overseeing strategic fundraising initiatives including planned giving, major gifts and all development efforts for the agency and its affiliates, including Council on Child Abuse.

 

Michelle McMullen

An accomplished development executive with over 15 years of experience, Michelle excels in fundraising and volunteer engagement for leading organizations.

She is a United States Air Force veteran and has held prominent development roles with the American Red Cross and most recently Director of Alumni Programs and Councils at Northern Kentucky University. Michelle earned her Master of Public Administration in Non-Profit Management at Northern Kentucky University and bachelor’s degree in Management from University of Great Falls in Montana.

She currently resides in Covington and maintains involvement with the American Red Cross as a volunteer member of a Disaster Action Team.

Marci McNay is Supervisor of the Year

Marci McNay, assistant director of the Campbell County Consolidated Dispatch Center was named Supervisor of the Year by the Kentucky Chapter of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International (APCO).

The award was given at the 2017 Emergency Services Conference in Louisville.

Bevin appoints Kimberly Thaper

Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed Kimberly Thapar to the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors. Thapar is a Realtor.

She will represent the interests of real estate practitioners and serve for a term expiring October 30, 2021.

The Kentucky Housing Corporation, the state housing finance agency, was created by the General Assembly to provide affordable housing opportunities. As a self-supporting, public corporation, Kentucky Housing offers lower-than-market rate home mortgages, housing production financing, homeownership education/counseling, rental assistance, housing rehabilitation and supportive housing programs for special needs populations.
