NKU to host Student Technology and Leadership Program for grades 3-12 showcase of projects

Northern Kentucky University will host the Student Technology and Leadership Program (STLP) regional event on November 20.

Kentucky students in grades three through 12 will showcase their projects in hope of qualifying for STLP state.

The Kentucky Department of Education’s STLP uses project based learning principles to empower student learning and achievement through the utilization of technology to solve school and community needs. STLP provides a means for student to design, make, connect and learn.

“STLP is a great platform for students to exhibit their creative and persuasive skills,” said Cindy Reed, dean of the College of Education and Human Services. “As technology continues to expand and develop in the classroom, NKU is committed to offer the necessary opportunities for young students to grow. We’re excited to see the impact that these students will make in the future of technology.”
