Governor appoints three to the Gateway CTC board and a NKY attorney to the health, safety review board


Governor Matt Bevin has appointed three new board of directors members for the Gateway Community and Technical College and a Northern Kentucky attorney to the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.

Erik Hermes, Sonja Adams and Charles Session Jr. have been appointed to the Gateway Community and Technical College Board of Directors.

• Erik Hermes, of Cold Spring, is owner of Hermes Construction Company. He will serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2023.
• Sonja Adams, of Crittenden, is a home educator. She will serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2023.
• Charles Session Jr., of Union, is vice president of government and community affairs for Duke Energy Kentucky. He will serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2018.

Gateway Community and Technical College, located in Boone County, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions institutions of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). 

D. Brian Richmond has been appointed to the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. 

• D. Brian Richmond, of Ft. Mitchell, is an attorney. He will serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2021.

The Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission represents the interests of employers, employees and the occupational safety and health profession. The Commission hears and rules on appeals from citations.
