Holy Trinity Elementary fifth graders, concerned about hurricane victims, create a campaign to help

After listening to news stories about hurricanes Harvey and Irma, fifth graders at Holy Trinity Elementary decided to take action.

The path of destruction caused by these recent storms affected the students. The students were empathetic for all of the people who were touched by these destructive storms and wanted to lend a helping hand.

After brainstorming the students decided to hold a school-wide collection.

Some fifth graders created and presented a Power Point explaining hurricanes and the destruction they cause.

This was shared with the student body in K-5.

Posters and donation jars were then distributed to each classroom.

To date $778.51 has been collected for this cause.

The donations will go to Matthew 25 Ministries.
