Cincinnati Reds coach Hatcher will be keynote speaker for NKU’s A Night with the Norse gala

Cincinnati Reds third base Coach Billy Hatcher will serve as the keynote speaker for Northern Kentucky’s second annual A Night with the Norse Gala, which is scheduled for Oct. 21 at the Great American Ballpark Champions Club.

Hatcher’s 12-year playing career in Major League Baseball was punctuated with a World Series Championship as a member of the 1990 Cincinnati Reds wire-to-wire title team. The outfielder hit a blistering. 519 (14-for-27) during that postseason, which included a .750 average (9-for-12) in the sweep over Oakland in the World Series.

At the conclusion of his playing career, Hatcher stayed on the diamond as a coach and has now spent the last 12 seasons on the Reds’ staff.

The gala benefits NKU’s Go Norse Fund, which supports Norse student-athletes by directly addressing NKU’s strategic priorities, including student-athlete well-being, academic achievement, competitive excellence, facility enhancement, and resource development & fiscal management.

Individual seating is available through the registration page. Reservations for corporate sponsors and corporate tables are being accepted by contacting Jeff Baldwin (baldwinj5@nku.edu; 859-572-6632).
