Two health foundations sponsoring free forum on ways to use data to improve region’s health


Data! Fostering Health Innovation in Kentucky and Ohio forum will be held on October 23, 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Training and Education Center.

The free forum is presented by Interact for Health and the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky.

The morning keynote speaker will be Aaron Truchil, MS, director of analytics and informatics at the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers. He will discuss how the coalition shares person-level data across sectors and builds community partnerships to drive hotspotting and whole-person care in Camden, N.J.

The afternoon keynote speakers will be Director Barbara Sears, Ohio Department of Medicaid, and Dr. Gil Liu, medical director of the Department for Medicaid Services in Kentucky. They will share the ways these Medicaid programs are using data to improve health.

Local entrepreneurs, researchers, agencies and organizations will share the latest innovations to improve population health in our communities. We hope this exciting and fast-paced forum will inspire you to harness the power of health data to foster change in your community.

Health data enthusiasts, nonprofit and philanthropic organizations, entrepreneurs, hospitals, health departments, community planners, health advocates and researchers are encouraged to attend.
