Three area Marriott Hotels, including the Airport Marriott, have been upgraded, renovated; total $30m

Three Greater Cincinnati Marriott Hotel properties are wrapping up a year-long renovation. The company invested $10 million into each full-service property, resulting in a $30 million regional project. Major upgrades were made to each property including the guest rooms, front desk space, lobby, atrium and exclusive M-Club lounge. In addition, each property will debut a new restaurant.

“Designed to inspire, our new look is everything you love about Marriott, with a modern twist,” says Ryan Minton, General Manager of Cincinnati Marriott North. “Each Marriott property figures prominently into the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky hospitality industry, hosting tourists, business travelers, large meetings and special events. We’ve made a sizeable investment in these three properties, and we hope it demonstrates our continued commitment to the region.”

The renovation has been a year in the making, and the extensive makeover for each hotel includes the following.

The hotels moved away from the red and gold color scheme, and replaced it with grays, blues and greens. They have created a more open environment with contemporary furniture, carpet and new wall covering and paint colors.

Each guest room has been transformed to create a modern and refined atmosphere that elicits relaxation, while also being a functional work space. All rooms feature new furniture, bedding, carpet, refrigerators, safes and 50-inch smart TVs that allow guests access to their own streaming channels, including Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, Pandora, YouTube and TED/Marriott. The bathrooms now have walk-in showers and new fixtures, commodes, mirrors and lighting. And each floor’s hallways were repainted and re-carpeted.

M Club Lounge

These three Cincinnati Marriott properties are among the first in the country to debut the new M Club Lounge for Gold and Platinum Elite Marriott Rewards members. Once located on a higher floor, the new concierge lounge will now be located on the first floor so guests can enjoy the benefits while still feeling a part of the hotel community. Non-reward members will have the opportunity to upgrade their hotel room package to include the M Club benefits.

The atrium will be a mixed-use gathering space that can be reserved for events, as well as an open area for guests to get out of their rooms, mingle with other guests and enjoy the time they spend at the hotel.

There are also a variety of items for the health conscious or vegetarian diner. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
