Thomas More College Alumni to honor five exceptional graduates, faculty with special awards


Thomas More College Alumni Association will recognize five exceptional alumni and a faculty member with awards for professional achievement, citizenship, service and lasting influence during the College’s upcoming Homecoming festivities.

The 2017 Alumni Awards ceremony is set for 5 p.m., Saturday, September 30 in Steigerwald Hall in the Saints Center of Thomas More College, 333 Thomas More Parkway, Crestview Hills.

Schroeder

“This year’s award winners exemplify the breadth of talent, depth of generosity, and passion for service of Thomas More College’s more than 14,000 alumni,” said Leisa Mulcahy, Director of Alumni Engagement.

“We welcome all members of the Thomas More College community to join us for this event to recognize the contributions of our Saints family, and particularly of the remarkable alumni who are being honored this year.”

The Professional Achievement Award – Awarded to an alumnus/a whose career has reached a level of excellence in his or her respective field of endeavor, and is recognized as such by peers and other knowledgeable contacts.

Rahschulte

Tim Rahschulte – Class of 1993
Dave Schroeder – Class of 1990

The Citizenship Award – Awarded to an alumnus/a who has made a significant impact on the welfare of his or her community through service and leadership. Nominees should exhibit a strong commitment to integrity, concern for justice, and service to others for which our spiritual patron and namesake, St. Thomas More, is so justly renowned.

Bob Ryan – Class of 1970
Tom Saalfeld – Class of 1971

The Thomas More College Service Award – Awarded to an alumnus/a or friend of Thomas More College who has provided continued service to the College. This award recognizes extraordinary service in terms of time, energy and expertise rather than financial support.

Egan

Terry Egan – Class of 1971

The Lasting Influence Award – Awarded to a faculty or staff member, past or present, who has provided a positive and lasting impact on the lives of students. Nominees should be noted as a role model for the College’s mission and one who also served as an influence in the career choice of the students they served.
