Thomas More celebrating in a big way — Big Band, Big Sky — with KSO and the stars on August 12

Thomas More College is celebrating summer in a BIG way! Join in the fun for a free Big Band, Big Sky event Saturday, August 12th from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra’s Covington Devou Doo Daddies will perform a summer concert on the Thomas More College campus.

The 10-piece swing band is known for their big, retro sound and cool vibe.

The music is kid-friendly, so don’t forget to bring the lawn chairs, coolers, and the kiddos!

Astronomy buffs of all ages can also check out the high-powered telescopes at the Thomas More College BB&T Observatory.

The astronomical Observatory at TMC provides Thomas More students and the local community with a broadening glimpse into the wonders of our universe.

The Observatory features computer-controlled telescopes, CCD digital imaging camera systems, and telescope-dedicated computer systems.

The Observatory building incorporates a sliding roof that opens to the stars and a climate-controlled computer room.

Thomas More College and the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra are committed to sharing amazing music free to the community. Earlier this year, Thomas More sponsored one of KSO’s free summer concerts at Devou Park.
