New House of Orange Sports Bar and Grill (a dutch restaurant) brings color, love of sports to Covington

The new House of Orange Sports Bar and Grill can be seen from miles away.

The white and orange paint job stands out as drivers come into Covington on the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge.

“It’s a dutch restaurant” said General Manager Brittany Brown.

With over 40 television screens and a brew-lock tap system to maintain beer freshness, the new sports bar in Covington is making a an impact on the sports world.

Hans and John Philippo are the owners of the House of Orange Sports Bar and Grill. The father-son duo also own the Cincinnati Dutch Lions soccer team.

“Covington needed a sports bar and grill but also a place to go watch soccer, Bengals, Reds and other major sporting events,” said Brown.

When the Dutch lions aren’t using their shuttle bus, the House of Orange Sports Bar will pick up to 60 people at the bar, shuttle them to an FC Cincinnati matches at University of Cincinnati Nippert Stadium, then with 20 minutes left the shuttle will take fans back to the sports bar.

Located at 433 Johnson Street – the new bar offers daily lunch specials for $5 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Plus on weekends, folks can come in and have brunch.

The bar is open 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-12 a.m Tuesday-Thursday and closed on Mondays.

The bar has plans to pack in 60 television screens and include more food and drink specials in August.
