Gateway’s RiverBlast fundraiser to provide great view of Sept. 3 fireworks from Great American Ballpark

Maryanne McGowan, Gateway Community & Technical College Foundation Board Member and RiverBlast 2017 Chairperson, and Lori Ritchey-Baldwin, St. Elizabeth Healthcare Chief Financial Officer, are preparing a big celebration on Sept. 3.

Gateway’s annual RiverBlast will be held at the Western & Southern/WEBN Labor Day weekend fireworks in a private viewing area at the Great American Ballpark.

“I am so excited to serve as chair for the RiverBlast 2017 event.  I have attended several years and this year is a not to miss affair! I can promise a fun-filled event, providing great food and drink, ample networking, the best view of the fireworks, GABP tours and Cincinnati Reds mascots.  All proceeds go directly to support Gateway student success,” said McGowan.

Guests will enjoy a VIP evening of tours of the ballpark, full beverage service, dinner, private seating to view the fireworks, and reserved parking is available. Guests will have use of the Champion’s Club the entire evening and may enjoy coffee, dessert, drinks and music after the fireworks while waiting for the crowd and traffic to clear.

Tickets are $200 per person or $1,500 for a table of eight.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

“St. Elizabeth is proud to be the presenting sponsor of RiverBlast 2017. We are committed to supporting organizations such as the Gateway Foundation that make a difference in the lives of Gateway students. These students are part of the future of our workforce in Northern Kentucky and St. Elizabeth believes in the mission and value that Gateway brings to our region,” said Ritchey-Baldwin. “Please join us at this event to help us hit a grand slam for Gateway!”

The annual fundraiser hosted by the Gateway Foundation and premier sponsor, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, supports student scholarships, a student emergency fund, faculty/staff leadership programs and professional development.

The public is invited to purchase tickets and join the festivities that begin at 5 p.m. Big Dave from B-105 will be the emcee for a guaranteed fun and exciting evening. Private parking is available to RiverBlast guests for an additional fee.

This year’s sponsors include: St. Elizabeth, ORI, Duke Energy, Regal, Cincy/NKY Magazines, NKY Tribune/KYForward, Shelley Funke Frommeyer, CFP of Waddell & Reed, Inc., and Mason, Schilling, & Mason.
