Covington Police make arrest in one of two recent homicides in the vicinity of 13th and Wheeler streets

Covington Police have made an arrest in one of two recent shooting deaths in the vicinity of 13th and Wheeler Streets.

Earlier this month, Covington city officials asked the public  to come forward with information regarding separate shooting incidents within a few days of each other, during which Lazuri Collins, 24, and Antonio Bandy 25, both of Covington, died. In each instance another person was also shot and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

On August 25 the Covington Police obtained an arrest warrant for the August 1 double shooting that occurred in the 300 block of East 13th Street.

With the assistance from the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force, United States Marshall Service, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and the Cincinnati Police, 20 Year old Damondre Williams has been arrested in Cincinnati and will be charged in Kenton County, Kentucky for the murder of Antonio Bandy and Assault 1st Degree (Shooting) of Marcus Broadus.

Williams is lodged at the Hamilton County Jail awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
