The Boston Globe has reported that Chicopee resident Mavis Wanczyk was announced as the winner of the $758 million jackpot Thursday.
Wanczyk told the Globe she worked at Mercy Medical Center for 32 years but is now looking forward to retirement.
Wanczyk said her reaction to winning was, “You’re joking.”
The Kentucky Lottery reports that the following stores sold tickets for last night’s drawing matching four of the five white ball winning numbers and the Powerball, landing the game’s $50,000 prize:
