Rainbow Child Care Center has announced the rollout of a Montessori Preschool program available at its Walton location, as well as other centers throughout its network of schools.
This offering recognizes that each child is a unique learner and performs better in different types of learning environments.
Rainbow’s Montessori Preschool program provides parents options in their child’s educational experiences and different ways to support their child’s growth.
“At Rainbow, we understand children excel through different learning methods and, as an educational center, we believe it’s our job to provide a variety of options to families to best meet their child’s specific needs,” said Patrick Fenton, founder and chief executive officer of Rainbow Child Care Center. “By offering Montessori classrooms and whole-child-focused learning in our buildings, we ensure that families can decide what learning model works best as they plan their child’s educational journey.”
The Montessori method is a child-centered educational approach that views the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment.
The learning model offers: uninterrupted blocks of work time; mixed-age classrooms; child-directed work; and a hands-on learning approach. Rainbow’s classroom will be run by Montessori-certified teachers who modify educational experiences based on a child’s individual strengths and interests.
“This approach provides Rainbow families the ability to experience the Montessori philosophy without disrupting the continuity of their child care routine,” said Fenton. “Current and new families are welcome to enroll their children in our Montessori programs beginning August 21.”
