Construction project in Bellevue begins Monday, merchants offering incentives for visitors

By now most have heard about the construction beginning July 10,which will necessitate a detour in order to access Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue, but for those that haven’t, here is the information from KYTC District 6:

KY 8 (Fairfield Ave) 1.8 mile-marker – The Sanitation District No. 1 is currently in progress on a sewer reconstruction project in the City of Bellevue. Starting Monday, July 10, operations will move to the intersection of KY 8 (Fairfield Ave) and Taylor Avenue. Motorists should watch for lane closures, crews, flaggers and short term detours.  The project has an August 4 completion date.

Bellevue’s favorite businesses will need support during what will prove to be a challenging time for the heart of Bellevue’s Historic Shopping District. The city’s merchants appreciate all those who have unwavering dedication to the town no matter the inconvenience and want to reward everyone for the extra effort to visit.

Here are two ways to do just that.

FIRST FRIDAY – LUCKY SEVENS NIGHT

On July 7 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., for every $20 spent on The Avenue, earn $5 in Bellevue Bucks (gift certificates good at all Fairfield Avenue businesses) which can be redeemed during the construction period beginning July 10.  That’s getting 25 percent back of what you spend. Receive up to $100 in Bucks tonight. No construction yet – come to town with ease.  (Be sure to pick up a detour map tonight to guide you through the next few weeks)

ENDURE THE DETOUR BUCKS

Beginning July 10 and throughout the detour period, for each purchase made at a Fairfield Avenue business (one per business, per day), receive an entry to win one of two $250 prizes of Bellevue Bucks. That’s right, $500 in Bellevue Bucks will be awarded in appreciation of your Enduring our Detour. Come to town and make one purchase, receive one entry; come to town and make a purchase at five businesses – that’s five entries. Come back the next day or week during the detour and make more purchases, receive another entry at each business supported – there’s no limit.
