The Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky (TBNK) has announced that due to a recent decision by Charter, its local Public, Education and Government (PEG) channels will be moving, effective July 18.
TBNK’s channel locations on Cincinnati Bell Fioptics will NOT change from their current locations.
TBNK has issued the following statement regarding the change:
As you may have seen on our recent Facebook posting or the announcements on our channels, Charter has told us that they are moving our local Public, Educational and Government Access channels, as part of a channel re-alignment. We want to be sure that everyone is aware of this change. This is not our choice, but rather a move that the cable company is making.
The new channel locations will be as follows:
TBNK’s Government Channels will move to 203/204
TBNK’s Main Event Channel will move to 200
TBNK’s Educable will move to 202
The Devotion Channel will move to 186
NKY Community Television will move to 185
This move will take effect on Tuesday, July 18.

Our biggest concern, when the cable company forces a move like this, is the possible confusion to the viewers, who won’t find our programming in the same location where they have found it for the last two decades. So we want to make sure as many people as possible know where to find our channels. We are putting announcements about this move on our channels, on social media and on our website. We are also asking Spectrum to make time available on their ad insertions for some PSA’s, and to place announcements in their bills.
The Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky (TBNK) is the cable television regulatory authority formed by an interlocal cooperative agreement among the Kenton County Fiscal Court and 15 local cities within Kenton County.
