Be Part of Cincinnati History; regional groups and individuals wanted for inaugural BLINK light parade


BLINK is seeking students, schools, arts groups, cultural groups, musicians and others for the BLINK light parade, the evening of October 12.

“If you are a regional Cincinnati educator, group leader or musician, we want you for the inaugural BLINK light parade,” said Pam Kravetz, parade director. “Participating in the BLINK light parade is a memorable way for your school or group to come together, collaborate and be part of Cincinnati history.”

Event organizers have provided the following outline for BLINK:

WHAT: BLINK, expected to be one of the largest light, art and projection mapping events in the nation, will feature large-scale projection mappinginstallations, murals, urban artscapes, media light and interactive art. Food and beverages will also be available. BLINK is free and open to the public.

WHEN: BLINK guests will enjoy four days, October 12-15, exploring the rich diversity of the Cincinnati region.

WHERE: BLINK will span 20 city blocks from Cincinnati’s Banks to Findlay
Market. Connected by sidewalks, Red Bike and the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar, BLINK navigation will be easy, flexible and at-your-own-pace.

WHO:More than 500,000 are expected to attend BLINK.

WHY: Because events like BLINK are what future cities do.

Spanning 20 city blocks, BLINK will one of the largest light, art and projection mapping events in the nation. BLINK attendees will enjoy large-scale projection mapping, murals, urban artscape, media light, interactive art and performers, October 12-15 in downtown Cincinnati.

BLINK, free and open to the public, is produced by Agar, ArtWorks, Brave Berlin, The Carol Ann and Ralph V Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation and the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
