Taste of Newport Sunday, includes more than 25 vendors, local bands on two stages, rain or shine


The “Taste of Newport” event is Sunday, June 4, rain or shine from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The 600-700-800 blocks of Monmouth Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for the event.  The event is designed to showcase some of Newport’s finest “tastes” around the city.

Webb’s BBQ will once again be among the featured vendors at Taste of Newport (provided photo).

Participating food businesses include 27 Bar + Kitchen, BB Riverboats, Bello’s Bike Pops,  Carabello Coffee, Dixie Chili, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, Gangsters Dueling Piano Bar & Restaurant, Gourmet Chili, Hofbrauhaus, Hot Head Burritos, JerZee’s Pub & Grub, LaMexicana Restaurant & Grocery, Lana’s Diner, Mister Softee, Mitchell’s Fish Market, Mokka, Newport Pizza, Packhouse, Peluso Market, Russo’s Ravioli, Sis’s on Monmouth, Trailhead Coffee, Webb’s BBQ and Wooden Cask.

All food items will be priced $5 and under.  A selection of domestic and craft beers will also be available for purchase.

700 Block (in front of city parking lot next to Pepper Pod):
11:00am-1:00pm – Troy Tipton’s Hit Squad
1:30-3:30pm – Josh McIntosh & Company
4:00-7:00pm – Revolver (Newport Police Chief Tom Collins)

800 Block (Phelan Park parking lot):
11:00am-1:00pm – Annette Shepherd & Brian Lovely
1:30-3:30pm – Northern Kentucky Bluegrass
4:00-7:00pm – JayBridge Corner

New this year: Artists/Artisans will be set-up amongst the food booths selling their hand-made designs.

Local Craft Beers will be supplied by: Hofbrauhaus and Wooden Cask
